The Washed Arabica category is the most competitive in Kenya, reflecting the country\u2019s global reputation for exceptional specialty coffee. This recognition places Tatu Coffee among Kenya\u2019s leading coffee producers and affirms the strength of its estate-based farming and processing model.<\/p>\n

Tatu Coffee owns more than 6,500 acres of legendary coffee estates in Kiambu County, just north of Nairobi. Tatu Coffee is owned by\u00a0Rendeavour<\/strong><\/a>, the developer of Tatu City, which has a long-term investment approach that supports world-class agricultural practices, infrastructure development, and sustainability. This scale enables Tatu Coffee to maintain full control over quality while producing volumes suitable for global specialty markets.<\/p>\n

Notably, the award-winning coffees were selected from Tatu Coffee\u2019s regular production, demonstrating that the quality recognised by the judges is consistent rather than limited to special or experimental selections. The international jury praised the coffees for their complex notes of orange blossom, red berries, marmalade, and jam, highlighting the layered clarity, balance, bright acidity, and sweetness, which increased with extraction time.<\/p>\n

Tatu Coffee focuses exclusively on the specialty coffee segment, supplying premium washed Arabica to roasters and buyers in Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. The company serves discerning markets that value origin-driven quality rather than commodity-grade coffee.<\/p>\n
